Q : What is Biologicals Chemistry?

A :  PROBAC® Biologicals formulations consist of selected groups of safe living bacteria that have been cultured for biodegrading specific organic waste in various cleaning and waste treatment applications. The living organisms within PROBAC®  converts traditional dead chemistry into a safe BIOLOGICAL method of cleaning. The biologicals elements mimic the natural cleaning processes that occur in nature, which is known as biodegradation, and is therefore the most environmentally preferable cleaning technology available to us today.

Q : Is PROBAC Biologicals 'environmentally friendly'?

A : The term 'environmentally friendly' is a very loose standard and is widely misused by chemical manufacturers and the general public. The term originated from the quest to discover and produce less harmful chemicals and production processes. There are many so-called 'environmentally friendly', or preferable chemicals, but these are only preferable when compared to highly toxic and dangerous chemicals. On a scale of zero to -10, toxic chemicals are at -10 and 'harmless' is at zero. 'Environmentally friendly' can sit anywhere between -9 and -1, but none are neutral or 'harmless'.
PROBAC Biologicals goes beyond 'harmless' and sits on the other end of the scale at +10, because it is purely 'beneficial' to the environment.
So the answer to the question is NO. PROBAC Biologicals is not 'environmentally friendly' because it is environmentally 'good' and beneficial to the environment.

Q : Is PROBAC Biologicals 'biodegradable'?

A : All PROBAC Biologicals products are designed to self-biodegrade within 7 days of use. The surfactant elements are carefully selected for their biodegradability and the pro-bacterial elements are purely organic and symbiotically functional in actually biodegrading their own chemical elements. All other chemical products require natural organisms to consume and break down them down (biodegrade), while PROBAC Biologicals comes with its own solution as part of its product build. The pro-bacteria are rendered dormant in packaging and for shelf-life and only become active below a certain dilution level. Once active, they fiercly replicate and consume organic dirt that they come into contact with. The surfactants break down hard dirt deposits and lift them off of surfaces, much like traditional chemicals, but this also serves to make more organic dirt available for consumption by the pro-bacteria

Q : What is the difference between biologicals chemistry and traditional chemistry?

A : Traditional chemistry is based on dead chemicals only, which serve to lift and shift dirt and organic waste off surfaces to be flushed away. This mix of dirt, organic waste and chemicals ultimately lands up in our natural environment, usually in the form of a hazardous and pervasive contaminant with a diminished ability to biodegrade. This pollution causes genetic mutation in lesser organisms, extinction of species, human health problems, acidification of our oceans and dead zones off our coastlines. PROBAC Biologicals ‘living’ chemistry actually does the work of natural biodegradation by placing natural pro-bacteria in massive concentration exactly where needed. This allows the user of Biologicals to incorporate their homes and businesses into, and as part of the greater environment, rather than as entities working at odds with the environment. The difference in cleaning efficacy is comparable to the best brands of traditional chemistry cleaners on a visual level, while PROBAC Biologicals cleaning technology surpasses all others at a microscopic level because it deep cleans by innoculation of molecular substrates of surfaces. Most importantly, PROBAC Biologicals delivers the desired result AND eliminates the need for potentially harmful chemicals that can harm your family and the environment. It treats dirt and waste at the source of cleaning by means of natural biodegradation, instead of just lifting the dirt and shifting it into the wastewater stream along with hazardous chemicals.

Q : How does PROBAC® Biologicals work?

A : The combination of safe, compatible surfactants and specialised pro- bacteria serves to leverage biological processes that already exist in nature. PROBAC® Biologicals emulsifies hardened deposits and biodegrades organic waste particles in a process of cleaning that precisely mimics nature. PROBAC® presents the unique advantage of concentrating billions of selected pro-bacteria exactly where needed, which allows for hyper-accelerated biodegradation during and after the process of cleaning. By enhancing the efficiency of natural processes, we reduce the volumes, and counter the effects, of waste and chemical pollution on our natural environment.

Q : Can PROBAC® Biologicals disinfect and sterilise?

A : Disinfecting and sanitizing is a cleaning option where chemicals are used to kill all bacteria – good and bad. This type of chemistry kills indiscriminately and is not compatible with living biospheres. A growing school of thought is emerging against the unnecessary over-use of disinfectants and sanitizers outside of the hospital environment. Children brought up in sterilised homes with sterilised hands are prone to developing compromised immune systems. A correlation can also be seen in Natures diminished ability to efficiently self-cleanse due to the massive unnecessary over-use of bactricidal chemicals. Even pathogenic bacteria associated with human waste are out- competed and overwhelmed in septic systems and waste-water in the presence of PROBAC® Biologicals SEPTIC SYSTEMS pro-bacteria, thus reducing the coliform contamination of river systems.
PROBAC® Biologicals use creates the conditions that prevent and inhibit dangerous bacteria from contaminating surfaces and systems. Through the biological action of microscopically breaking down invisible accumulations of waste, a reduced ability for dangerous bacteria to infect these surfaces and systems occurs. Even in a hospital with all manner of dangerous bacteria from body fluids of sick people being deposited on surfaces and in drain systems; - these bacteria are denied a foothold if surfaces and drain pipes are deep cleaned with safe pro-bacteria and free of residue build-up.

Q : Are PROBAC® Biologicals products safe?

A : The entire product range is very safe. Studies have been conducted to make certain that the pro-bacterial strains in PROBAC® Biologicals formulations are non-pathogenic and chemically non-toxic to people, pets and the environment. This testing includes studies on inhalation, ingestion and skin contact. The formulations may be considered eye and skin irritants due to some of the low level surfactants used. (Safer than diluted dish washing liquid.) It is not recommended to expose skin to the product for excessive periods of time and hands should be rinsed after handling the product. On the whole, PROBAC® Biologicals is compatible with life and thus safe with other living organisms, large and small.

Q : What is the difference between bacteria and enzymes?

A : PROBAC® Biologicals formulations perform their work by producing enzymes and quickly become very efficient “enzyme factories” once established in a surface substrate or system. Enzymes are the catalysts in biochemical reactions that break down organics and grease. ‘Enzyme only’ based products are synthetically produced and are generally very specific and limited to certain organics only. ‘Enzyme only’ based products offer a ‘single shot’ action and require very high dosages to be effective.  The PROBAC® Biologicals pro-bacteria provide an “intelligent efficient” system whereby they detect the type of organics present in the surface substrate or waste water system, producing specifically those enzymes needed to biodegrade the various organics present. Each bacterium replicates and produces several enzymes in a ‘multi-shot’ action that ensures high efficiency at low test dose. You could not hire a team of PhD’s that could analyse the organics present and synthetically produce the enzymes needed to break down those organics anywhere near as effectively. basically, you cannot beat the natural way.

Q : Why don’t we use synthetic lipase enzyme instead of challenging bacteria to produce lipase?

A : Lipase enzyme will only break down the bond between glycerol and fatty acids and will have no part in breaking down the glycerol and fatty acids themselves. A wider range of enzymes is required that only active pro-bacteria can produce to complete the process of reducing waste completely and effectively. This ensures that fats are not reconstituted further down the wastewater stream. PROBAC® pro-bacteria go one step further in that they have the capacity to biodegrade the new generation of synthetic fats or trans-fats which naturally occurring waste degrading bacteria ignore.

Q : What happens to the pro-bacteria that land up in the environment and river systems?

A : PROBAC® pro-bacteria will continue to replicate and biodegrade organic material wherever they may land up, providing an improved self- cleansing benefit to our natural environment. The most important factor in using PROBAC® Biologicals is that it represents a natural and logical replacement for the most hazardous and environmentally toxic chemicals that have traditionally been used to clean surfaces, unblock drains and treat waste gathering systems up till now. For us, PROBAC® Biologicals is an environmental milestone; an evolution of human mind-set, waiting for the mass paradigm shift of realisation. Our work will be done when traditional chemistry is replaced with biologicicals chemistry. It is simply and logically better to “clean the way nature intended”, and to create a world in which we can live.

...and it does not cost the earth.
